We are currently looking for a paralegal to conduct legal analysis and investigation activities for assigned areas of specialization. You will analyze and synthesize information to determine legal strategy. You will provide legal support to internal and external legal counsel. Requirements: - 5 years of significant real estate or mortgage lending experience as a paralegal, either in private practice or with a lending institution; experience in reviewing mortgage loan documents, trusts, powers of attorney, leases, title commitments, and other miscellaneous mortgage loan and real estate legal documents. - Experience in drafting subordination agreements, loan commitments, loan extension and modification agreements, and releases of lien. - Understanding of real estate and mortgage law in multiple jurisdictions. - Verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to perform research using Westlaw and other electronic research tools. - Ability to work in a fast-paced business and legal environment. - Bachelors degree and/or paralegal certificate. - 3 years of banking law experience as a paralegal, either in private practice or with a lending institution; experience drafting agreements and business contracts. - Demonstrable experience with consumer banking laws and regulations, particularly depository banking issues
